This is a spectacular photograph! I don't usually favorite pictures of statues, because I think "Oh, I could have taken that easily," but the lighting in this is absolutely wonderful <3 Thank you for sharing this here!
In this piece I am connected with the her eyes. See this as an angel that has perhaps fallen. She is trying to connect with the viewer. There is a great deal of built of emotions in this piece. One can be connected through the eyes to get a true sense of what the person is feeling, or in this case the artist who made this piece. Love the photo , great job! Dave Gold
Thanks v much. Yes, the original statue is the actual work. However the photo is a particular (and narrower) interpretation of that work. I often feel that taking an existing artwork and just tweaking it is cheating in a way (but when I do it myself its justified )
I know. I've run out of naked women for now! But also I've just bought a 70-300mm lens that I'm using at every opportunity. So my next nude model will need to stand half a mile away while I bellow instructions through a loud speaker. That way I can still use my new lens.
what camera do you use? your profile says your in the nikon group, so i dont know much about them as i am a canon guy myself! just a suggestion but seeing shouting instructions through a loud speak MIGHT draw some unwanted attention try a phone call! lol! have fun with your new lens fella.
Its a Nikon D90. I used a Tamron 70-300mm lens for this shot. It has excellent vibration reduction. This shot was made from 3 bracketed photos (hand-held thanks to the vibration reduction). I did some HDR processing but I don't think its actually noticeable.
