Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

Cranes stand against the dying light of the sun. Another new building rises up against the skyline in Rotterdam.

There seems to be a strange mist in the air. The sky is crossed by vapour trails from planes heading towards the North Sea.

I decided the original version of this that I uploaded was a bit messy so I've tried to tidy it up.

There's something I really love about sunset shots in an urban atmosphere :love: Yours is one of the best ones I've seen in a while.

I like the way the haze and smoke has dulled all the edges and left a very soft atmosphere, yet doesn't feel polluted - gritty and dirty perhaps, but aren't all big cities? :D That feeling is mimicked again in the soft hazy clouds.

The color is wonderful - the eye is instantly drawn to the sun as the brightest, most colorful thing in the composition but soon travels to marvel at all the small details, from the building windows to the tiny cars far below. Awesome shot :)

I got this printed out and it was a bit disappointingly murky looking instead of atmospheric. I might try again with a better quality printer (but that would be expensive).
